Having just returned from Stockholm, we’re digging the blog Stockholm Street Style. But we didn’t see anyone walking round like this?! We did however, see a lot of people wearing the same old tired Scandinavian designs. It’s great this blog can scrape through all that to find some pretty funky styles. We’re thinking of starting Copenhagen Street Styles! ;>
We actually like what both of the Olsen Twins are wearing in this photo. And thank goodness they are starting to gain their own identities, doesn’t Ashley look confident and beautiful in this black evening dress with side cut outs? But poor old tired Mary-Kate, she still needs to add on a few pounds to fill out this gorgeous gold vintage dress.
Damn it! Why must everything we like be overworn by celebrities? Before we have had a chance to enjoy it, they’ve already saturated the press with the piece, making the look, over before it began. We really loved this leather and chain bracelet from CCSkye but we’ve seen Lauren Conrad and now Jessica Alba sporting it in the media. We can’t bring ourselves to part with the $150 it would cost to wear this bracelet for maybe a few months.
We know they can seem surreal, all airbrushed up in those fashion magazines but believe it or not models are people too! When their not working it on the catwalk, their strutting their stuff on the streets of New York. Elle magazine caught up with a few of them to see what models wear when they are not well… modeling!

Myf Shepherd and Nimue Smitmay sport the same hairstyle but their looks couldn’t be more different! Myf goes for a vintage faux (we think) fur coat, warm tights and flat boots. While Nimue goes for the dress down jeans and sweet star scarf. We like!
Out of all the models we think Hanne Gaby Odiele’s ensemble is just about as downtown as you can get! We’re diggin the fur trimmed crop jacket with the band tee and big bright purple handbag. And HELLO! don’t those red Dock Martins just scream, “London Calling!”. Good work, Hanne.
OK so this is what we’re all going to be wearing this fall? Hmmm…two thoughts: 1. I am glad short boots are finally being worn with something other than pants and 2.We’re going to need to buy more tights. Natasha Poly’s leather jacket is cool but what’s up with the Euro up-do?
OK we get it. Tights, short skirts, crop jackets and boots. Fall shopping done.
